Westfield School Presents Drama and Music Production

PERRY, GA.--The Westfield School’s Drama and Music Departments will present I’m Sorry the Bridge is Out, You’ll Have to Spend the Night,” a musical by Sheldon Allman and Bobby Prickett, Thursday, March 22, Friday, March 23, and Saturday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the school’s Recital Hall.  The production is directed by Mrs. Kathy Stubbs, Upper School Drama teacher, and Mrs. Shelley Sanderson, Upper School Music teacher.  Admission is $7.

The musical play centers on the story of characters John Wellgood and Mary Helen Merryman, both painfully naïve, who find themselves stranded near a medieval castle on the outskirts of Steubenville, Ohio.  The play is a madcap adventure with all the classic horror movie characters from the 1930s and 40s singing and dancing to the music of Sheldon Allman and Bobby Pickett, creator of “Monster Mash.”

The drama students will also be performing in an upcoming production, presenting Joy Ride, a short play by Brad Slaight as a community service during the Houston County Teen Health Forum on May 1 at the Georgia National Fairgrounds.
