Perry Primary Presents "The Littlest Reindeer" Christmas Musical

 

HOUSTON COUNTY, GA – Perry Primary School first-grade students will perform a Christmas musical on Dec. 13, at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.  Two casts from 10 classes will present “The Littlest Reindeer.” 

Repeat performances will be presented for students and staff on Dec. 14, at 9:00 and around 10:00 a.m. 

Sheila Clopton, music specialist, is directing the musical.  Dr. Elgin Mayfield serves as principal of Perry Primary School. 

Perry Primary School is located at 1530 Sunshine Avenue in Perry.

The Westfield School varsity competition cheerleading squad won first place at the "Battle of the 'Boro" cheer competition held at Bulloch Academy in Statesboro.

HOUSTON COUNTY, GA – Perry High School won first place at the Region 2AAAA One-Act competition and runner-up at State.  The cast performed an original play, Bobby T & the Boo Hag.  This is Perry High’s eighth consecutive year winning region.  This year, the cast also won six awards at region and three at State.

“We are very fortunate this year to add Mrs. Noel Jordan to our theatre department,” commented Drama Director Joe Sendek.  “Together we were able to push the students to create a truly magical production.  We are both incredibly proud of each and every cast and crew member and look forward to future productions!”

In addition to the region championship, Perry High cast won:

·         Best Actor – Drew Robinson for “Bobby T”

HOUSTON COUNTY, GA – The Perry High School Theatre for the Performing Arts will present Bobby T & the Boo Hag on Oct. 25, 2012, at 7:03 p.m.  Tickets are $5 at the door. 

A “Southern-fried folktale,” Bobby T & the Boo Hag is an original one-act play that centers around the town of Possum Trot and the appearance of a most terrifying creature, the Boo Hag.  So what is a Boo Hag?  What does the Boo Hag want? Who is the Boo Hag?  This is a dark comedy that will have you laughing one moment and cowering in your seat the next!
