Two Cited for Illegal Gillnetting on Lake Oconee

A surveillance operation by rangers with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources recently resulted in citations being issued against two men for illegally gillnetting fish on Lake Oconee in Greene County, authorities say.

The men were found in the possession of about 150 pounds of assorted fish, including white bass, crappie, hybrid and striper, Georgia Department of Resources Wildlife Law Enforcement Division Capt. Mark Padgett said.

JROTC Students to Attend Georgia Premiere of Documentary

More than 300 Houston County JROTC students will attend the Georgia premiere of "Honor Flight."

According to a release, U.S. Congressman Austin Scott  in conjunction with the Warner Robins Museum of Aviation and Sonny’s BBQ bring the premiere to Georgia.

About the film:

Honor Flight is a heartwarming documentary about four living World War II veterans and a Midwest community coming together to give them the trip of a lifetime. Volunteers race against the clock to fly thousands of WWII veterans to Washington, DC to see the memorial constructed for them in 2005, nearly 60 years after the War

Robins Federal Credit Union will host a free community event and contests for the entire Middle Georgia community during National Credit Union Youth Week, April 19-26.

Robins Federal Credit Union kicks off its celebration of youth week on Friday, April 19 at 8:00 p.m. with a free outdoor movie featuring the Disney movie “Brave” in the parking lot of the 803 Watson Blvd. branch in Warner Robins. This free event is for the entire family.
