Good Life Organizing announces new website

Good Life Organizing announces new website

Creating a new website is a bit like having a child. You have great ideas and dreams and then it takes a long time for it be ready to come into the world.  That's is what I have been doing this Spring (giving birth to a website, not a child!). Working with Shalon Ironroad of Bacon Business Management I have crafted a new and improved website that truly highlights my personality and my business.

Some of the newest highlights include:

• An FAQ page to answer your burring questions about organizing and working with a Professional Organizer,

• The Living the Good Life blog is now found directly on my website, and

• You now have easy access to my videos that give helpful tips and hints about organizing your home and life.

So please stop by, browse around and let me know what you think. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Spring Fling Day 28: Plastic Containers

Spring Fling Day 28: Plastic Containers

Pull out all of those Tupperware containers and old butter tubs. If they don’t have lids (or are missing the bottoms), they definitely should be flung. Decide how many you actually need and will reasonably use, keep the nicest ones and recycle the rest.

Now go flinging!  Please come back and tell me how many plastic containers you were able to fling today.

Spring Fling Day 24: T-Shirts

Spring Fling Day 24: T-Shirts

Sort through your t-shirt collection.  We seem to get a new t-Shirt for every event we participate in and every new place we go. Pair down to the ones that are in good shape and you truly care about. Let the others go. Extra special shirts could be made into a quilt or you can take a picture or video and keep that instead. Check out this cool video of what one man did with his collection of 312 t-shirts before donating them (6 garbage bags FULL!).  http://youtu.be/6l4eTwwKygg

Spring Fling Day 23: Serving Dishes

Spring Fling Day 23: Serving Dishes

One of the things we seem to accumulate a lot of are serving dishes. Today look at all of your serving dishes and think about which ones you actually use. When Thanksgiving comes around, will you honestly need 20 bowls or platters? What about that salad bowl with a big chip on the rim? Try to pare down and simplify. Keep only the ones you actually need and use.

Now go flinging!  Please come back and tell me how many serving dishes you were able to fling today.

Spring Fling Day 22: Pet Supplies

Spring Fling Day 22: Pet Supplies

Today let’s fling Fido and Fluffy’s stuff.  It’s time to fling those too small collars and bowls, treats that the cat just will not eat and the frayed leashes. If you have supplies from a long gone pet, like an aquarium or a hamster habitat, today is the day to let those go.

Now go flinging!  Please come back and tell me how many pet supplies you were able to fling today.

Spring Fling Day 21: Towels & Washcloths

Spring Fling Day 21: Towels & Washcloths

Welcome to the Spring Fling. Join us every day in April to start flinging the clutter from your life!

Go through your linen closet and purge old, frayed towels and washcloths. Decide how many is a reasonable amount to have, perhaps 2 per family member and a few for guests. Don’t forget the beach towels too! Remember that local animal shelters would love to have your old towels.

Now go flinging!  Please come back and tell me how many towels and washcloths you were able to fling today.
