The opening ceremony was a tribute to America, then the events started with bronco riding. There's also goat tying and cattle roping.

The rider with the fastest time wins. Senior Beau Williams has been riding for seven years and had a great time roping.

"It means the world. I've been doing it ever since I was a little kid. It's just day-in and day-out hard work. It teaches you hard work, respect, and just all around how to be a good person. I just love every bit of it," says Williams.

Williams plans to continue rodeo in college at the University of Tennessee Martin.

If you missed the events Friday night, you can catch them again Saturday starting at 2 p.m. The rodeo will go through Sunday, and admission is $8.
