Edward Pope

Ed Pope, age 52, of 144 Taft Lane, Fitzgerald, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Perry Hospital in Perry.

Born in Vienna, he was the son of the late John Alvin Pope and Ila Mae Youngblood Pope. He was a US Navy veteran and a member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla. He was employed at Modern Dispersion South, Inc.

Carrie Irene Johnson Wheeler

Carrie Irene Johnson Wheeler, age 91, passed away on February 24, 2013 at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon. A Memorial service will be held at Hart’s Mortuary, Cherry Street on February 27, 2013 at 12:00PM, with The Reverends Jody and Julie Long officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, North Gate. Ms. Wheeler was born on April 12, 1921 in Sparta, Georgia and graduated from Sparta High School in 1939. She moved to Macon in 1947 where she was employed at Robins AFB in what was then the Directorate of Procurement. Ms. Wheeler was a member of the First Baptist Church of Christ and the Believer’s Sunday School Class. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, crafts, gardening, and shopping. She was an avid bridge player and a regular follower of Atlanta Braves baseball. Ms.

Willie Ruth Wheeler 1933-2012

Willie Ruth Wheeler, 78, of Unadilla, went to sleep on September 11, 2012 in anticipation of her earthly resurrection (Matt 5:5; John 5:28, 29; Rev 21:3, 4.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Minnie Farmer, brothers Joe and Leonard (Bootle) Farmer, and her husband of 54 years, William Clinton (Clint) Wheeler, all of Unadilla.

Macon-Robert “Rob” Pelissier, 44, died Sunday, July 31, 2011. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Ingleside Baptist Church chapel with Dr. Tim McCoy and Dr. Mark Hudgins officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery of Perry, GA. Visitation will be between 6:00-8:00PM on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Hart’s at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. Clifford E. French

Clifford E. French, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 12, 2011.

Mr. French was born on January 8, 1942 in Dry Fork, Virginia. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church where he was Minister of Senior Adults. Cliff was a Minister for fifty two years; he pastored Pride Baptist Church in Pride, Louisiana; Denham Road Baptist Church in Greenwell Springs, Louisiana; Third Street Baptist Church in Cordele; and Crossroads Baptist Church in Perry. A faithful servant of the Lord, he was also a Regional Vice President of Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida. His parents, Willie Boyd French and Edith Starling French, both preceded him in death.
