HOUSTON COUNTY, GA – The Houston County School System offers students and parents numerous online study guides and testing tips. Review materials for upcoming state assessments are posted to the Houston County Board of Education Testing Department page at http://www.hcbe.net/testing.aspx.
Additional Georgia High School Graduation Test review materials supplied by the Teaching and Learning subject area coordinators have been posted to this site in an area named Georgia High School Graduation Review Materials. These materials include practice assessments for some subjects and math videos to assist the students reviewing.
Each major assessment is hyperlinked below for quick access to testing dates and guides. A list of some of the materials available on the Testing Department website follows.

High schools are administering the Georgia High School Graduation Test Retest this week, followed by End of Course Tests for the first semester Dec. 3-7, 2012. Middle schools will give the 8th Grade Writing Assessment on Jan. 23, 2013. The next major test for elementary school is the 5th Grade Writing Assessment on March 6, 2013. And students in grades 3 through 8 will take the Criterion-Referenced Competency Test April 15-19, 2013. The complete testing calendar is posted online at this link: 2012-13 Testing Calendar.
