Georgia National Rodeo Starts Thursday

The Georgia National Rodeo takes place annually at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter.

The rodeo is set for February 23-25.

You can purchase tickets online or in person.

 

22nd Annual Georgia National Rodeo

The Georgia National Rodeo will be at the Perry Fairgrounds from February 23rd - February 25th.  According to their website it will feature "specialty acts, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, tie down roping, steer wrestling, team roping, barrel racing, and bull riding."  The doors open at 6:30pm.

Westfield School Holds Open House

Westfield School Holds Open House

 

The Westfield School will host an Open House for prospective students and families will be held Sunday, January 29th at 2 p.m. in the Arts & Sciences Building - Recital Hall.

School administrators, faculty and staff will be on hand to provide information about Westfield, our college preparatory curriculum, fine arts programs, athletics and other extra-curricular activities. Information will also be available about financial aid assistance, including the Georgia GOAL Scholarship program.

Cheers, chants, motions, dance, jumps, and basic stunting will be taught by VHS Cheerleaders.

Fee: $35 to include T-shirt and a snack

VHS Hosts Baseball Fellowship Ceremony

 

WARNER ROBINS, GA.--Veterans High School is hosting a Jerome “Jay Jay” Stephens, Jr. Foundation Baseball Fellowship ceremony on Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, at 6:00 p.m. in the Veterans High School auditorium, a Houston County Board of Education news release says.

The ceremony will benefit the Jay Jay Stephens Foundation, which awards a baseball scholarship to Georgia Southern University (GSU).  Coach Rodney Hennon, GSU Head Baseball Coach, will be the guest speaker for the ceremony.  All junior and senior baseball players from all high schools, as well as their parents, and the general public are welcome to attend.

High schools that will be represented are:  Houston County, Northside, Perry, Veterans, Warner Robins and Peach County.  The $10 admission fee will be donated to the foundation.
